A Personal Property Appraisal

An appraisal is an assurance to clients that items have a certain estimable value by a qualified independent third party.

Our services also include providing certified personal property appraisals. This service naturally complements our auction profession.  Our knowledge and experience of selling a variety of items from estates and small businesses as well as farms has qualified us to provide appraisals  for a variety of situations....Insurance, Estate, Equitable Distribution, Donation, Collateral Purposes for Bankruptcy Court or Financial Institutions.

We begin the appraisal process with an on-site inspection of your possessions.  We then inventory, photograph, and evaluate physical characteristics as well as the overall condition.  Extensive market research is conducted off-site to ensure proper valuation.

Your appraisal report will contain a complete description of the items(s) which includes approximate age, measurements and condition.  Digital Photographs are also taken and can be part of the report if requested.  Also included in the report is the value estimate requested whether fair market, liquidation, in-plant, or replacement cost and how the value was determined.  We offer an estimate of the scope of the work at the time of appraisal.  We will be happy to discuss your appraisal needs along with our fee structure at the initial consultation.
