In 2002, we conducted a 2-day liquidation sale and a 1-day auction of Someone’s in the Kitchen, a gourmet shop and restaurant in Flowood, Mississippi. Our client was State Bank and Trust. In 2003 we conducted a similar type sale/ auction for Trustmark National Bank in regard to a florist shop, Chapel’s in Brookhaven, Ms.
Since both businesses had an extensive amount of inventory, we decided the combined process would be a more suitable method of liquidation. Plus, this innovative process offered an opportunity of targeting different customer markets at the same time.
Intense trade advertising and brochures announced the 3-day events. Creative advertising along with credit card payment ability enabled us to achieve more revenue than originally expected. During the 2-day liquidation sale, we promoted the auctions to customers and on Sunday achieved amazing results.
