Taylor Auction & Realty, Inc. starting September 15, 2009 begin a online bidding auction of an exceptional living estate in Clinton, Ms. The living estate consisted of a great selection of outstanding furniture and decorative accessories. The online platform ran for a period of 14 days ending September 29, 2009 at 7:00 pm. Taylor Auction employees – stayed late to monitor the auction and assist bidders with last minute bidding issues and to invoice the bidder’s purchases.
Beginning the day early, on September 29, 2009, Benny and Ruthie Taylor sold four parcels of real estate in four different cities in Mississippi. At 10:00 am a commercial lot was sold in Byram, Ms. Immediately after the Byram auction, Benny and Ruthie traveled to Monticello, Ms and conducted an auction of three acres. After a quick lunch and a quick trip to Monticello, Ms. TAR conducted an auction of a commercial lot at 2:00 pm. Next stop was the Brooklyn Ms. Post Office, the site where 14 acres of rural land was auctioned. Traveling on to McComb, Ms., Benny and Ruthie made it just in time to also monitor the online auction from their hotel assisting bidders also via e-mail and cell phone.
On September 30, Taylor Auction & Realty, Inc.’s staff set up for the Solon Cole Estate Auction of approximately 240 acres at the Days Inn scheduled for Thursday, October 1, 2009. This auction was conducted utilizing a choice / combination tract method system called the Multi-Par software program. The auction began at 10:00 am and ended approximately around 3:00 pm. The room was brimming with locals, real estate brokers, 21 live bidders, and nine online bidders. After four hours of 48 single and multiple bid combinations, eight contracts were completed for the benefit of Tulane University. We are proud to announce the property brought 98% of the appraised value.
From McComb, the Taylor Auction & Realty, Inc. staff traveled to Gulfport, Ms where they set up a temporary office at their rented condominium. From the Gulfport office, the staff of Taylor Auction & Realty, Inc. staff finalized lot preparation for the Shamrock Demolition Waste Haulers LLC and the U. S. Bankruptcy Auction of CDP Corporation, Inc. These two auctions were simulcast auctions where the auctions are offered live and online through the interactive webcast provider of Proxibid.com. For this process an online catalog is created with corresponding photographs for bidders to preview approximately 1 to 2 weeks before the live auctions.
October 8, 2009 was the auction date for approximately 100 Galbreath Waste containers and (4) 2006 Volvo Retriever Trucks. This auction was conducted in Waveland, MS. with the simulcast auction conducted via cell phones. Approximately 25 people registered live and 14 online with three online purchasers.
Wednesday, October 14 was the beginning of the U. S. Bankruptcy Auction. For the CDP Corporation, two sites were utilized. The former CDP Corporation site in Waveland was the site for the October 14 Auction which was live and consisted of general shop equipment. Approximately 100 people registered that day with the ability to utilize the same auction number for the next day auction. After finalizing the auction around 4:00, the Taylor Auction & Realty, Inc. staff moved their office from the onsite auction location to the Ballroom of Hollywood Casino. A PowerPoint presentation was utilized for approximately 100 lots of heavy equipment that included a World Cat Yacht, Tractor Trucks, Pickups, Cranes, Excavators, Dozers, etc…Approximately 75 more people registered on Thursday, October 15 to complete the registration to 175+ with 109 online proxibid bidders. The ballroom was overflowing with people participating in this exciting PowerPoint presented auction.
